About the Enterprise Transformation

Mission

Our mission is to leverage modern technologies to build 'The Next' platform of innovative solutions that address our business needs across the enterprise (academic, research, and administration) and create a consistent and intuitive user experience with modern technology. Our primary goal is to align our operational objectives with the Institute's priorities. In our relentless pursuit of institutional effectiveness, these transformations will provide users with capabilities to achieve our mission.

Guiding Principles

Think Enterprise

  • We recognize the importance of a solution that breaks down current silos and allows for more cross-departmental collaboration and reporting.
  • We seek to design and build a solution that modernizes our processes, systems, technology, and reporting.

Streamline and Standardize Processes

  • We will challenge our current state and embrace the change of building more streamlined and sustainable processes.
  • We will utilize industry-leading business processes as the standard for future state processes.

Minimize Technical Complexities

  • We understand the complexities of Georgia Tech's ecosystems and commit to understanding the technical impact brought on by replacing current systems.
  • We will design and implement an enterprise solution building that utilizes and/or optimizes our talents, tools, and team.
  • We will promote enterprise data management and transparency.
  • We will ensure future capabilities of Georgia Tech's ecosystem leveraging modern and sustainable technologies.

Practice Effective Governance

  • We seek to understand the landscape of other projects across the Institute to ensure prioritization of resources.
  • We will utilize governance across the portfolio to ensure scope and resources are managed.

Communicate, Collaborate, and Share

  • We seek to establish an environment of transparency with the campus community.
  • We recognize the level of organizational transformation and commit to executing a proactive Organizational Readiness strategy.
  • We will seek to communicate frequently and in a variety of formats to alert the Institute of activities, key decisions, and impacts.
